The DNA-Pure Yeast Genomic Kit provides a rapid, 30 minute protocol for the isolation of high quality, intact yeast genomic DNA. This procedure eliminates the need for enzyme digestions and organic extractions which can result in sheared, variable quality DNA. The DNA obtained using the DNA-Pure Yeast Genomic Kit provides for excellent restriction digestion and PCR results.

Typical yields from this kit are 10 - 20 ug DNA from a 1.5-3 ml culture. The kit has been tested successfully with Saccharomyces cervisiae, Schizosaccharomyces pombe, and Pichia pastoris.
