T4 RNA Ligase 1
T4 RNA Ligase 1 catalyses the formation of a phosphodiester bond between the terminal 5′ phosphate and 3′ hydroxyl groups of single-stranded RNA or DNA. It requires ATP as a cofactor.
One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme required to ligate 50% of an equimolar mix (125nM) of a single-stranded 5′ FAM-labeled 17-mer RNA to a 5′ phosphorylated 18-mer RNA in 20 µL at 37°C for 30 minutes.
