-ident from the bright green nuclear staining.However, MxSafe and MxSafe Plus were unable to cross cell membranes

as shown by the lack of any fluorescence staining.

MxSafe Plusis an ultra sensitive, extremely stable and environmentally safe fluorescent nucleic acid dye designed to replace

thehighly toxicethidium bromide (EB) for staining dsDNA, ssDNA or RNA in agarose gels or polyacrylamide gels.MxSafePlus

is farmore sensitivethan EB without requiring a destaining step.MxSafe Plusand EB have virtually the same spectra, so you

can directlyreplace EBwithMxSafe Pluswithout changing your existing imaging system.

MxSafe Plusis a very stable dye. Store 10,000X solution and dilute solutions of MxSafe Plus at room temperature,

protectedfrom light. Dye precipitation may occur at lower temperatures, resulting in lower signalorthe

appearance ofprecipitate on the surface of the gel. If this occurs, heat the solution to 45-50^oC for twominutes

and vortex.MxSafe Plusis stable for at least one year from the date it is received.
