Z-VAD (OMe)-FMK is a cell permeable caspase inhibitor that irreversibly binds to the catalytic site of caspase proteases and can inhibit apoptosis. The peptide is O-methylated in the P1 position on aspartic acid providing enhanced cell permeability.
