CPZ ™ is the cryopreservation solution formulated according to the M3™ family media formulation. CPZ™ is a complex cryopreservation medium containing multiple supplements, 10% FBS, clinical grade hydroxyethyl starch, dextran, and other factors in proprietary formulation. It binds water molecules, gives superior protection of human and mammalian cells, and increases viability of sensitive cell cultures when reanimated from cryopreservation. The DMSO-free CPZ™ formula (MCPZ) is designed to allow addition of a customized concentration of specific cryoprotectants such as DMSO or glycerol for the cells. CPZF™ media is commonly used to store cells propagated in M3™ media, including NCM cell lines.
