RNA Storage Solution is a buffer that provides greater RNA stability than standard 0.1 mM EDTA or TE Buffer. This 1 mM sodium citrate, pH 6.5 +⁄- 0.1 buffer is provided in 10 tubes containing 1.0 mL each and 100 ml PET bottle.Since RNA is easily degraded by abundant exogenous or endogenous RNases, it is essential that the solution be maintained in a safe environment especially for long term storage. The low pH (pH 6.4) and chelating component (sodium citrate) of The RNA Storage Solution helps to stabilize the RNA in solution. The RNA Storage Solution is guaranteed sterile and RNase-free for reliable performance.The RNA Storage Solutionmay be used after the final step of ethanol precipitation and washing following extraction with organic reagents such as PureXract RNA Extraction Reagent.The RNA Storage Solutionwill not inhibit downstream reactions such as RT-PCR, transcription or translation reactions, and Northerns.
