The human EBI3 ELISA^BASIC kit is ideal for users who want the flexibility of setting up their own ELISA assay. This product enables quantification of human EBI3 in solution, e.g. in cell culture supernatant. The kit contains a matched pair of monoclonal capture and detection antibodies, Streptavidin-HRP, ELISA standard and standard reconstitution buffer. Plates and substrate are not included.

The monoclonal antibodies in this kit are specific to the EBI3 subunit. ELISA assays based on antibodies to EBI3 will detect both IL-27 and IL-35.

Analysis of serum/plasma samples with this kit requires the use of ELISA diluent for dilution of the samples, standard and detection antibody. The diluent prevents false positive read-outs which may be caused by interference of heterophilic antibodies found in serum and plasma. The ELISA diluent is available from Mabtech. EBI3EBI3 is a subunit molecule that forms heterodimers with other proteins in the IL-12 family. IL-27 is a heterodimer composed of the subunits EBI3 and p28. IL-35 is a heterodimer composed of the subunits EBI3 and p35. IL-39 is a heterodimer composted of the subunits EBI3 and p19. Native IL-39 has not been detected in human.
