The human Interleukin-3 (IL-3) ELISA^BASIC kit is ideal for users who want the flexibility of setting up their own ELISA assay. This product enables quantification of human IL-3 in solution, e.g. in cell culture supernatant. The kit contains a matched pair of monoclonal capture and detection antibodies, Streptavidin-ALP, ELISA standard and standard reconstitution buffer. Plates and substrate are not included.

Human IL-3 ELISA^BASIC kits are also available with Streptavidin-HRP.

Analysis of serum/plasma samples with this kit requires the use of ELISA diluent for dilution of the samples, standard and detection antibody. The diluent prevents false positive read-outs which may be caused by interference of heterophilic antibodies found in serum and plasma. The ELISA diluent is available from Mabtech. IL-3The cytokine Interleukin-3 (IL-3, IL3) is mainly produced by activated T cells. IL-3 is also called multi-lineage-colony stimulating factor since it induces the growth and differentiation of many cells. IL-3 is also an activator of mast cells, eosinophils, basophils and macrophages.
