SPECIFICATION SUMMARY

Antigen: Purified human placental IGF-1 receptors.

SPECIFICITY

All three clones are specific for the human IGF-1 receptor; 35102 and 35103 recognize the α subunit:

• 35101 (3B7) stimulates binding of IGF-1 and -2; stimulates basal and IGF- 1 stimulated cell growth.

• 35102 (1H7) inhibits binding of IGF-1 and -2; inhibits cell growth.

• 35103 (2C8) has no effect on binding of IGF-1 or -2.

APPLICATIONS

Use these antibodies in research studies to delineate signal transduction pathways specific for IGF’s and for detecting IGF-1 receptors in crude samples. 35101 may be used to immunoprecipitate IGF-1 receptors. 35102 and 35103 can recognize the IGF-1 α subunit on immunoblots.

DILUTION INSTRUCTIONS

Dilute in PBS or medium which is identical to that used in the assay system.

STORAGE AND STABILITY

These antibodies are stable for at least one (1) year at -20oC to -70oC. Store product in appropriate aliquots to avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
