Clodronateliposomes:

ArtificialspheresconsistingofconcentricphospholipidbilayersencapsulatinganaqueousPBS(phosphatebufferedsaline)solutioncontainingclodronate.Liposomesareparticles,sizedatamax.of3micron.TheyareformingasUSPensioninPBSandwilltendtoprecipitateuponstorage,formingapelletonthebottomofthetubeorflask.ThesuspensionshouldbeshakenbeforeadmiNISTrationtolaboratoryanimalsinordertorecoverthehomogeneoussuspension.

PBS(control)liposomes:

Controlliposomesdonotcontainclodronate.ContainingPBSonly,theycanbeusedforcontrolexperiments,inordertofindoutwhethertheeffectsobservedafterinjectionofclodronateliposomesareduetomacrophagedepletionexclusively.

 

去除巨噬细胞（depletion of macrophages）。去除巨噬细胞是研究巨噬细胞功能的重要方法，该产品利用巨噬细胞的内吞机制，将膜不通透性的氯磷酸（clodronate）带入细胞内，氯磷酸被释放，当达到一定的浓度时可引发巨噬细胞的凋亡，从而达到去除巨噬细胞的目的。
