Overview

TheDX1antibodyreactswithdextran,anaturalpolysaccharideconsistingoflinearchainsofalpha-1,6-linkedD-glucopyranoseresidueswithshortsidechains(mostly1-2glucoseunits)1,3-or1,4-linkedtothebackboneofthebiopolymer.Dextranhasseveralusesasanadditiveinfood,inlacquers,asaplasmavolumeexpander,andasacoatingforparticlesusedinbioimagingorcellseparationapplications.TheDX1antibodywasraisedagainstisomaltotetraose(foursugarunitsinlength)butbindsbettertolongerpolymerchains.Itisalsoknowntobindtoamino-dextran,thoughwithloweraffinity.Thisantibodycanbeusedtodetectcellslabelledwithdextran-coatednanoparticlesduringStemSep™andEasySep™cellseparationproceduresorforotherapplicationsthatrequirethedetectionofdextran.ThisantibodyclonehasbeenverifiedforpurityassessmentsofcellsisolatedwithEasySep™kits,includingEasySep™HumanTCellEnrichmentKit(Catalog#19051)andEasySep™HumanCD4+TCellEnrichmentKit(Catalog#19052).
