HiFiÄQStartTMTaqDNApolymerasecontainspurifiedmonoclonalantibodiesthatbindtothepolymeraseandkeepitinactivepriortotheinitialPCRdenaturationstep.Uponheatactivation(1minuteat94°C),theantibodiesdenatureirreversibly,releasingfullyactive,unmodifiedTaqDNApolymerase.Thisenablesspecificandefficientprimerextensionwiththeconvenienceofroomtemperaturereactionassembly.

HiFiÄQStartTMTaqDNApolymerasecontainsasmallamountofultrahighfidelitythermalstableDNApolymerasewith3’→5’exonucleaseactivity.Thisleadstoupto6-foldhigherfidelityPCRamplificationthanTaqDNApolymerasealoneandenablesamplificationofDNAfragmentsupto20-kb.
