Propidium Iodide (PI) is ready-to-use nucleic acid dye solution (2 µl). Propidium iodide (PI) is useful for the exclusion of nonviable cells in flow cytometry analysis. This product can be used in combination with APC (Allophycocyanin), and FITC (Fluorescein isothiocyanate) conjugated antibodies in 2-color analysis. The excitation of PI at 488 nm facilitates its use on all cytometers with argon ion lasers (most common flow cytometers).
