Description:
This amino acids 35 to 43 fragment of b-amyloid was used as an immunogen to develop an antibody that demonstrated a high degree of specificity for the b-amyloid 38(GVV)40 epitope. The resulting hybridoma produced antibodies reactive with neuritic and diffused plaques in sections of paraffin-embedded, formalin-fixed brain tissue from Alzheimer"s disease patients.
