Description:
This truncated β-Amyloid peptide selected from amino acid residue of 7 to 29. This peptide is capable of forming amyloid-like fibrils. However, it was shown that when mixed with thioflavin T (ThT) dye, the resulting fluorescence was relatively low. ThT shifts excitation and emission maxima upon binding to amyloid fibrils and has therefore been used to monitor amyloid fibril formation.
