The S9 self-priming respirator is a reusable face mask designed toKN95 standards. This means that it will block > 95% of all particulatematter in the air larger than 2 μm in size. The mask employsinexpensive replaceable filters.

Reuseable mask last longer

The reason for the long duration of use as opposed to disposablemasks that use the same sort of filter material is the plastic shieldthat holds the filter cartridge. With a disposable mask, people areconstantly readjusting the mask. Their hands are usually whattransfers pathogens from the surfaces they touch to their faces,noses and mouths. That’s why the CDC advises that we constantlywash our hands and not touch our faces. Each time we adjust adisposable mask with our hands, we contaminate it. In the case ofthe S9, the filter is protected from our hands by a plastic housingwhich does not obstruct airflow. The mask is easily taken on andoff without directly touching the filters. The mask can be used up totwo (2) years and can be cleaned by wiping it with hot water (75°C)or alcohol.

Save money with reusable mask

It is recommended that you change your disposable mask twice aday. With the S9 mask you can continue to use the mask for up to 10days, depending on your environment. Extra filters are available at anominal charge.
