This digital thermometer is designed for measuring body temperature while accounting for the offset caused by the ambient temperature. Temperature readings from the infrared (IR) thermometer are highly accurate and stable. A configurable alarm sounds when a temperature reading exceeds the setpoint. And, you can store up to 32 sets of measurement data. The 3-color backlit display gives a visual indication of the normal, high and danger zones. Choose either Fahrenheit or Celsius for temperature display. When it is not in use, the IR thermometer automatically shuts off to conserve battery power.
Usage
- Press the measurement button to turn on the IR thermometer.
- Set the mode to body mode.
- Place the IR thermometer 10-50mm from the subject’s forehead.
- Press the measurement trigger button and wait for the beep. After the beep, the reading displays on the screen. If the measurement exceeds the setpoint, it will show bi.bi.bi on the screen. The default setpoint is 38º C.
