Inhibitor Mechanism
Q-VD-OPh (quinolyl-valyl-O-methylaspartyl-[2,6-difluorophenoxy]-methyl ketone), is a pan caspase inhibitor and it protect cells from caspase dependent apoptosis. It has the ability to cross blood-brain barrier and also non-toxic to in vivo though the “OPH” trap with its superior potency, proven cell permeability and minimal toxicity provides an exceptional alternative to the fluoromethyl ketone family of inhibitors.It bind to the catalytic site of caspase proteases and inhibit apoptosis.
Solubility:Prepare the stock solution of 20 mM in DMSO. Aliquot the stock solution and store it in -20°C
