Sphingosine kinase 2 (SphK2), localized in the nucleus, is a lipid kinase responsible for the formation of Sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P) from sphingosine.There are two isoforms  of SphK; SphK1 and SphK2. Both isoforms are available from Echelon.

This recombinant full-length human Sphingosine kinase 2 with N-terminal 6xHis tag is tested for activity against sphingosine. It is expressed in a baculovirus infected Sf9 insect cell expression system.
