CyLyte Fluor 5 NHS ester dye has the same organic dye structure as that of Cy®5 NHS ester dye. However, the counter-ion used in the final formulation of AnaSpec’s CyLyte Fluor 5 NHS ester dye does vary compared to the Cy®5 NHS ester dye. This CyLyte Fluor 5 NHS ester is a reactive dye used for the labeling of amino-groups in peptides, proteins, and oligonucleotides. This highly sensitive fluorophore has its emission maximum in the red region exhibiting maximum sensitivity thus minimizing background interference from biological specimen.
