Antibodies ab9876 and ab9878 have been raised using recombiant NP protein. I am unable to find data on which strain this is taken from. I can confirm all of these antibodies (ab9392,ab9876, ab9878, ab9879, ab9880) have also been succesfully tested in mumps strains 55799-98 and SJ801-95. I can suggest checking the sequence alignment of the NP protein of the different strains you are interested in. We recommned that sequence homology should be over 85% to predict an antibody will detect a protein.Mumps antibody ab20859 has been tested sucessfully on the Enders strain (from which the immunogen was taken) and a CDC strain #V5-004. Other strains (including 55799-98 and SJ801-95 and Gloucester) have not been tested, including 55799-98 and SJ801-95 and Gloucester.
