ThecapacityofPrecipHen®wasdeterminedbymeasuringthe2.5mLsofPrecipHen.OnemilliliteraliquotsofchickenIgY(200µg/mLinTEbuffer)wereappliedtothecolumnandfractionswerecollected.Asimilarcolumnofagarose(non-NHSactivated)wasusedforcomprison.TheconcentrationofIgYpassingthrougheachcolumnwasmeasured,andthetotalamountofIgYthatboundtothecolumnwascalculated.
