Cultrex®StemCellQualifiedHuman Vitronectin,Pathclear®ispurifiedfromhumanplasmaandisPathclear®certifiedtobefreeofcommonpathogens.Vitronectinisanextracellular,soluble,disulfide-linkeddimer,composedofa75kDaanda65kDapeptidechainwithatotalmolecularweightof140kDa.VitronectinisamajorplasmaglycoproteinthatpromotescellularadhesionandspreADIng.Italsoinhibitsthemembranedamagingeffectoftheterminalcytolyticcomplementpathwayandbindstoseveralserpinserineproteaseinhibitors.Vitronectin,alongwithcollagenIV,fibronectin,andlaminincansupportrobust,longtermproliferationofundifferentiatedhumanembryonicstemcells.Vitronectincanbeusedforcoatingtissueculturesurfacestopromotecelladhesion,proliferationanddifferentiation,orasanadditiveforserum-freemedia.Vitronectinispurifiedfromhumanplasmaandis0.2μmsterilefiltered.
