Description

Cultrex®BovineCollagenI ispurifiedfromfetalbovineextensor tendons and ispepsin-treatedtoremovetelopeptides.CollagenIisthemajorstructuralcomponentofextracellularmatrices(ECM)foundinconnectivetissueandinternalorgans,butismostprevalentinthedermis,tendons,andbone.Itisa300kDamoleculecomposedoftwoalpha1(I)chainsandonealpha2(I)chainthatspontaneouslyformsatriplehelixscaffoldataneutralpHand37°C.Thisphenomenoncanbeexploitedtopromotecellattachment,growth,differentiation,migration,andtissuemorphogenesisduringdevelopment.ToprovidethemoststandardizedCollagenI,aspecialprocessisemployedtoprovidematerialatastandardconcentrationofapproximately5mg/mL.

Cultrex®BovineCollagenI isapurifiedstromalECMprotein thathasbeendeveloped,producedandqualifiedforgeneralcellcultureapplications.
