TheDetectX®AldosteroneChemluminescentImmunoassay(CLIA)kitisdesignedtoquantitativelymeasureAldosteronepresentinextractedserumandplasma,orinurine,extracteddriedfecalsamples,andtissueculturemediasamples. Analdosteronestocksolutionisprovidedtogenerateastandardcurve.Thekithasastandardrangefrom1,500to2.06pg/mL. SamplesarePipettedintoawhitemicrotiterplatecoatedwithanantibodytocapturesheepantibodies.Analdosterone-peroxidaseconjugateisaddedtothestandardsandsamplesinthewells.Thebindingreactionisinitiatedbytheadditionofapolyclonalantibodytoaldosteronetoeachwell.Afterincubationovernightat4°C,theplateiswashedand chemiluminescentsubstrateisadded.Thesubstratereactswiththeboundaldosterone-peroxidaseconjugate.Thesubstratereactswiththeboundcorticosterone-peroxidaseconjugatetoproducelight.
