This reagent is used to determine the α - Hydroxybutyrate Dehydrogenase activity in human serum.
Under the catalysis of α - Hydroxybutyrate Dehydrogenase , α - Ketobutyric acid is reduced to α - hydroxybutyric acid, and NADH is oxidized to NAD +. At 340nm, the decrease rate of absorbance is directly proportional to α - hydroxybut yrate dehydrogenase activity , and the α - hydroxybutyrate dehydrogenase activity in the sample can be calculated by monitoring the absorbance decreasing rate.
