(-)-Blebbistatinis an Active enantiomer that selectively inhibits non-muscle myosin II ATPase activity and inhibits of smooth muscle myosin to a much lesser degree. Its effects can be inactivated by UV light and it is capable of rapidly and reversibly blocking cell blebbing by altering the forces that impinge on the cytoskeleton-membrane interface.
