The mouse apoA1 ELISA^PRO kit provides all necessary reagents and solutions required to quantify apoA1 in solution, e.g. in cell culture supernatant, and serum/plasma samples. The kit contains an ELISA plate pre-coated with monoclonal capture antibody and matched quantities of biotinylated detection antibody, Streptavidin-HRP, TMB substrate, ELISA standard and buffers.

Pre-coated ELISA plates save time and reduce assay variability.

0.16-10 ng/ml. The standard range is the range in which determinations of analyte concentration can be done with precision, accuracy and linearity.

The limit of detection of this assay is 0.03 ng/ml. It is the lowest concentration that is possible to detect but not necessarily quantify with precision and accuracy.

Dilution of serum/plasma samples gives a mid-curve recovery of 94-107% in repeated experiments.

The intra-assay variation is 3.7%(CV). The inter-assay variation is 4.5%(CV).

ApoA1Apolipoprotein A1 (apoA1, also known as apolipoprotein-A1, apo A1 and apoA-I) is the main protein component of high density lipoprotein particles (HDL). ApoA1 (28 kD) is mainly produced in the liver and exported into the circulation where it acquires lipids and becomes HDL. High level of apoA1 is regarded as protective against atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease. Normal concentration of apoA1 in human plasma is approximately 0.8-2.2 g/L.
