        SeveralpossIBLeinteractionsbetweenSTIM1andOrai1havebeensuggested.ThemostsimpleandcitedisadynamicinteractionbetweenthecytosolicC-terminusofSTIM1andthecytoplasmicdomainoftheOrai1channel.7-9 STIM1isassumedtoregulatetheactivityofallknownSOCs,includingnativeSOCs.ConsistentwiththeirimportantroleascalciumsensorswithintheER,STIM1proteinsareubiquitouslyexpressed.
